What We Do—

Caregiver Resource Center

The Caregiver Resource Center (CRC) at Solutions for Care is a resource center that serves as a point of entry to a broad range of services and resources for caregivers and grandparents raising grandchildren. The CRC’s Caregiver Specialists link caregivers, grandparents or other non-parent older adults raising children (who are not more than age 18), and grandparents or other non-parent ol adults raising children ages 19-59 with a disability with community resources that can provide support in these types of family situations. Please note the CRC ONLY services Berwyn and Cicero. The Caregiver Specialists are available Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  In special circumstances, the Caregiver Specialists are available after hours and on weekends.

Caregiver Pre-Assessment

Are you feeling stressed out as a caregiver? The caregiver pre-assessment identifies the stressors of individual caregivers and provides personalized tools and resources to support the caregiver's journey. Through a series of questions, specific stressors are identified, and an individualized care plan is created to help caregivers feel more equipped to manage their role and identity as caregiver. Get connected to essential resources to prevent caregiver burnout.

Caregiver Support Group

Solutions for Care’s Caregiver Support Group will help you share your caregiver experience and learn new skills and techniques to help you and your loved one. Share with the group your concerns and emotions in a safe nonjudgmental space. Explore solutions with others facing the same struggles. The Caregivers Support Group meets every second Friday of the month at Solutions for Care from 11am to 12pm.
