Mission Statement
Solutions For Care is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to preserving the independence and dignity of all older adults and those living with disabilities, being their advocate, and working to find the best available resources that lead to greater self-sufficiency and a higher quality of life.
Our Story
Solutions for Care (SFC) a nonprofit social services agency, originally the Near West Suburban Council on Aging then the Berwyn-Cicero Council on Aging, was founded in 1972 in response to a growing number of older adults in our community. In response to a growing need for disability advocates, SFC began to serve both individuals 60+ as well as adults 18-59 who were living with a disability. As our services expanded so did our service area. SFC is the main community care unit agency that provides senior and disability services for Berwyn, Cicero, and Proviso Townships and we are proud to celebrate our 49th year of services to these diverse and vibrant communities. Solutions for Care will be celebrating in 2022 its 50th Year Anniversary.
