November is National Family Caregivers Month

Celebrated every November, National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) is a time to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. It offers an opportunity to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for caregivers.

National Family Caregivers Month provides resources for self-care, advocacy, and de-stressing for our caregivers. The month is dedicated to supporting caregivers as they care for others.

Hear what our Caregivers are saying…

“With your help, mom despite her dementia has made it to a healthy 96 years old”

“Solutions for Care is very lucky to have you. You are dedicated and have so much patience. You are so appreciated.”

 “I don’t feel alone anymore”

5 Tips for Family Caregivers

  1. Remember to be good to yourself. Love, honor, and value yourself. You’re doing a very hard job and you deserve some quality time, just for you.

  2. Watch out for signs of depression, and don’t delay in getting professional help when you need it.

  3. Educate yourself about your loved one’s condition. Information is empowering.

  4. There’s a difference between caring and doing. Be open to technologies and ideas that promote your loved one’s independence.

  5. Seek support from other Caregivers. There is great strength in knowing you are not alone.
